Margot Robbie loves Tinder

Margot Robbie says she isn’t interested in online dating, but is nevertheless fascinated by apps such as Tinder.

The actress admits she’s “freaked out” by technology, which keeps her away from popular matchmaking apps. Nevertheless, she’s been having a blast swiping through friends’ profiles and admires the overall concept.

When asked if she would try dating online, she shared with Elle magazine: “I don’t think I’d ever be comfortable with that because technology still freaks me out a bit.”

Robbie also admits to be behind the times when it comes to handling technology, often reaching people through letters and ‘thank you’ notes.

She continued: “I don’t even know how to Direct Message someone on Instagram. I still write letters. I send thank you notes, not emails, even if I’m staying at a friend’s house or something. I’m very old school. But Tinder fascinates me. Raya fascinates me. I make my friends pull up their profiles and I’m like, ‘Show me everything.'”

Meanwhile, the Suicide Squad star had previously revealed her boyfriend Tom Ackerley changed her perspective about dating and relationships.

She explained: “[Before we met] I was the ultimate single gal. The idea of relationships made me want to vomit. And then this crept up on me.

We were friends for so long. I was always in love with him, but I thought, ‘Oh, he would never love me back. Don’t make it weird, Margot. Don’t be stupid and tell him that you like him.’ And then it happened, and I was like, ‘Of course we’re together. This makes so much sense, the way nothing has ever made sense before.'”

Robbie also believes that being vulnerable with your partner makes for a more successful and understanding relationship.

“Over the years, you experience enough situations and your share of heartbreak that you tend to build up defensive walls.

That happens to most people. The trick is to be able to learn from your previous relationships and become stronger, so that you can allow yourself to be more open and vulnerable again.”
