Justin Bieber finds it difficult to connect with fans

Justin Bieber admitted it’s often difficult to connect with fans when they are being excessively loud and misbehaving. But the star is thankful that it’s become easier to manage now that his supporters are older, classifying them as “more sane.”

He stated in the Bodyguards: Secret Lives from the Watchtower documentary: “[My fans] start understanding how to act [as they get older]. They actually want to act a little bit more sane so that maybe they get my attention.

Because at this point, if you’re screaming and super overwhelming, it’s hard for me to connect with you.”

And Justin’s director of security has noticed how the singer’s fans approach him these days. He describes them as more civilized and recalled a time when things were drastically different.

“As fans have grown, they’re more likely to engage Justin in a conversation than to grab him and literally rip him apart.

I remember when I first started with him – it may sound crazy, but three, four [emotional] little girls – they have so much strength that they would literally rip his shirt, take off his hoodie.

And if it’s a big crowd, you could lose him in the crowd … But as the fans have grown with him, so has their approach to be able to just come up to him and go, ‘Hey Justin, how are you?’ and engage in conversation.”

Speaking of struggles, the artist recently walked away from a gig after fans got overly loud and refused to let him speak.

Justin then shared an apology, stating: “There’s going to be times where I say the wrong thing, because I’m human. But I don’t pretend to be perfect and I hope to God that, you know, I don’t say the right thing all the time because if that was the case then I’d be a robot, and I’m just, I’m not a robot.

“There’s times when I get upset … times when I get angry, there’s times when I’m going to be frustrated. But I’m always going to be myself on this stage.”
